Rumors claim that whoever wields it can unlock their true potential through cosmic power. After learning that the Black Vortex is in Mister Knife's possession and that Thane, the son of Thanos, wants it for himself, Peter Quill realizes billions of lives could be at stake if the wrong people unlock its power. In order to steal something of such great power, Peter dusts off his thieving gloves and calls for help. He enlists both his Guardians of the Galaxy and the All New X-Men together (among others) to pull off his biggest heist. But with the Slaughter Squad protecting Mister Knife, the job won't be as easy as Peter believes.
